Licensed Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Deliver evidence-based family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and associated diagnoses in a virtual clinic/telehealth environment.

• Apply FBT, CBT-E, CBT-AR, and other evidence-driven therapies across various age groups.

• Manage a caseload of 30-40 patients, dedicating 20-26 hours to direct care while reserving time for administrative duties.

• Evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders.

• Work collaboratively with physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.

• Utilize between-session messaging and communicate via Equip’s EMR in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Engage in treatment team meetings, supervision, departmental meetings, and ongoing training.

• Maintain licensure in the home state and obtain additional state licenses as needed.

• Complete thorough documentation and continuous assessment of patients’ and families’ requirements.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in Minnesota.

• Capability to support patients of all ages, including those with co-occurring conditions, diverse backgrounds, and varying levels of acuity.

• Commitment to evidence-based care and treatment.

• Availability to provide care two evenings per week until 8pm in the primary time zone of the patient caseload.

• Be an enthusiastic and effective team player.

• Ability to safely and efficiently deliver care in a virtual format.

• Strong passion for mental health and eating disorder treatment, with a drive to enhance access to care.

• Availability of 30 hours per week for direct patient care.

• Commitment to at least 16 hours of direct patient care after 2pm on weekdays (3pm in Mountain Standard Time).

• Willingness to attend mandatory meetings.

• Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree from a mental health counseling/therapy program accredited by CACREP, COAMFTE, CSWE, MPCAC, or a similar accrediting body.

• Fully or independently licensed mental health therapist.

• Ability to work remotely with reliable internet access and a private workspace.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Commitment to providing care exclusively in a virtual/telehealth context.

• Preferred: experience in Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder therapies.

• Preferred: experience with evidence-based treatment and/or intensive treatment environments.

• Preferred: experience assisting patients with suicidal ideation and trauma.

• Preferred: case management experience and/or experience collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary care team.
