Licensed Psychotherapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Deliver virtual care and support to adult members through 40-minute video consultations and asynchronous messaging regarding:

• Pregnancy, postpartum, peri-menopause, and menopause

• Adoption, surrogacy, fertility, egg freezing, loss, and return-to-work issues

• Mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and bipolar disorder

• Balancing professional life with parenting responsibilities

• Coaching for parents and families

• Utilize brief solution-focused therapy to tackle immediate challenges, equipping clients with effective tools and skills

• Collaborate with Maven’s Care Advocate team to ensure the needs of members are addressed, including recommendations for in-person referrals and follow-ups

• Act as an ambassador for Maven’s distinctive care model, offering culturally sensitive care and advocating for the belief that improved outcomes for women and families contribute to a better world for all.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in both German and English (spoken and written)

• Must be based in Germany

• Valid, independent licensure in Germany as one of the following, in accordance with German professional regulations:

• Psychologische(r) Psychotherapeut/in (licensed psychological psychotherapist under the PsychThG)

• Ärztliche(r) Psychotherapeut/in / Facharzt/Fachärztin für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie

• Or an equivalent regulated psychotherapeutic qualification recognized within the EU with independent practice authority in Germany

• Registration and good standing with the relevant regional licensing chamber (Psychotherapeutenkammer or medical chamber, as applicable)

• Experience in delivering structured, evidence-based psychotherapy (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT-informed approaches, or other guideline-based modalities)

• A minimum of 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience as an independently practicing mental health professional

• Capacity to provide around 2 hours of direct member care per week, with the potential for expansion (part-time, independent contractor role)

• Strong knowledge of culturally responsive and perinatal/family mental health care

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to clinical documentation standards
