Licensed Mental Health Counselor – LMHC-D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Provide outpatient mental health services through Brave Health's telehealth platform.

• Offer mental health treatment to patients of all ages.

• Utilize telehealth software, video conferencing, and internal communication tools throughout the day.

• Collaborate with clients to help them achieve their goals.

• Perform comprehensive assessments.

• Create individualized treatment plans.

• Diagnose mental health and/or substance use disorders.

• Complete 30 client care hours weekly, averaging six clients daily.

• Work with patients who may experience chronic severe mental illnesses, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, or schizoaffective disorder.

• Potentially acquire additional state licenses as Brave Health expands into new regions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's level degree and relevant licensure.

• Candidates for LMHC and LMFT must possess Diagnostic Privileges (LMHC-D / LMFT-D).

• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship currently or in the future.

• Cannot depend on temporary or employer-dependent visa statuses.

• A private work-from-home environment for patient safety and HIPAA compliance.

• Proficiency in English.

• Understanding of mental health and/or substance use disorder diagnoses.

• Experience in treatment planning.

• Comfort with telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools.

• Experience collaborating with clients to meet their goals.

• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments.

• Willingness to pursue additional state licenses as necessary for expansion.

• Availability to provide 30 client care hours weekly.
