Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC-D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver outpatient mental health services through Brave Health's telehealth platform.

• Provide empathetic, high-quality mental health treatment remotely from your home.

• Serve patients of all ages through various health plans, including commercial health plans, Medicaid, and Medicare.

• Complete around 30 client care hours each week, averaging six clients daily.

• Utilize telehealth software, video communication, and internal collaboration tools.

• Perform thorough assessments.

• Create individualized treatment plans.

• Assist clients in reaching their personal goals.

• Diagnose mental health issues and/or substance use disorders.

• Potentially acquire additional state licenses as Brave Health expands into new regions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A master's level degree and appropriate licensure.

• Candidates for LMHC and LMFT must hold Diagnostic Privileges (LMHC-D / LMFT-D).

• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without future employer sponsorship.

• Cannot depend on temporary or employer-reliant visa statuses.

• A private work-from-home environment that meets patient safety and HIPAA standards.

• Proficiency in English.

• Familiarity with mental health and/or substance use disorder diagnoses.

• Experience or knowledge in treatment planning.

• Comfort with telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools.

• Experience collaborating with clients to meet their goals.

• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments.

• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.

• Clinical experience with severe chronic mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, or schizoaffective disorder.

• Work schedule from Monday to Friday with no weekend shifts.
