Licensed Home Inspector – Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Conduct residential home inspections in line with company standards, inspection protocols, and industry best practices.

• Support with occasional commercial inspections as assigned, within the inspector’s qualifications, training, and licensed scope.

• Examine structural, roofing, exterior, interior, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building elements within licensed limits.

• Adjust to technical or specialized inspection tasks supported by Beryl’s engineering expertise.

• Thoroughly document findings and prepare precise reports within specified deadlines.

• Professionally and clearly communicate inspection results to clients and internal team members.

• Collaborate with scheduling, dispatch, management, and administrative teams to facilitate seamless operations.

• Uphold professionalism during site visits, client engagements, and communications with contractors.

• Travel across Florida as assigned, including occasional overnight trips.

• Engage in additional training and cross-training as necessary.

• Adhere to company protocols regarding inspections, reporting, safety, and client interaction.


⛳️ Requirements

• Active Florida Home Inspector License.

• Intermediate experience in performing residential inspections.

• Robust understanding of residential building systems and common construction deficiencies.

• Capability to produce detailed and accurate inspection reports.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.

• Capacity to work independently while adhering to company procedures.

• Professional demeanor when interacting with clients, contractors, and team members.

• Willingness and capability to travel throughout Florida.

• Availability for occasional overnight travel.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Dependable and well-maintained vehicle suitable for statewide travel.

• Ability to pass any mandatory background checks.

• Licensed building code certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Experience in commercial inspections is a significant plus, but not a requirement.

• Additional inspection certifications or specialized inspection experience is preferred.

• Background in insurance inspections, construction inspections, code-related inspections, or specialty residential inspection services is beneficial.

• Familiarity with inspection software and report-writing platforms is a plus.
