This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Strategize, direct, and facilitate play-based activities centered around children's interests throughout the day.
• Observe and document children's learning progress.
• Cultivate relationships with families and involve them in the educational process.
• Collaborate as a team with Providers, Families, Community Partners, and Children.
• Ensure children's safety by recognizing and accommodating their diverse needs, backgrounds, and fostering equitable opportunities for all to participate.
• Exhibit respect for the environment by maintaining the safety and cleanliness of all equipment, furniture, and materials.
• Engage actively in professional development.
• Access to appropriate operational space for up to 6 children (including areas for play, meals, rest, and outdoor activities).
• Prior experience working with young children.
• Display warmth, sincerity, and a genuine interest in working with children.
• Rent (with Landlord’s approval) or own your home/apartment.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrate effective behavior guidance skills, including problem-solving, positive reinforcement, and redirection techniques.
• Hold a valid/accredited Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certificate.
• Provide updated immunization records (or a signed and notarized refusal of affidavit or medical exemption).
• Have a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within the last three months).
• Maintain an active Food Handler’s Certificate.
