This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Provide individual tele-therapy sessions for K–12 students referred by participating schools.
• Employ short-term, evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy.
• Address a variety of issues including anxiety, grief, trauma, academic pressure, and conflicts among family or peers.
• Deliver services to a diverse student demographic, including multilingual learners and those lacking insurance coverage.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with school counselors, family resource managers, and administrative staff.
• Engage in family outreach when suitable to ensure continuity of care.
• Take part in case consultations, supervision, and ongoing professional development activities.
• Maintain timely and professional communication with both school and internal VPM partners.
• Complete all clinical documentation (intake, progress, and discharge notes) within a 48-hour time frame.
• Ensure adherence to all licensure board regulations, HIPAA, FERPA, and program-specific standards.
• Contribute to quarterly outcome reporting through standardized metrics and case summaries.
• Must be licensed in Virginia as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or a comparable designation.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience is required.
• Previous experience in therapy, community mental health, or telehealth is preferred.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and crisis response is advantageous.
• Proficiency in evidence-based interventions like CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy.
• Strong skills in time management, organization, and documentation are essential.
• Commitment to providing culturally responsive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care.
• Self-motivated with a strong virtual presence and professionalism in remote environments.
• Reliable communication and attendance are critical job responsibilities.
