Associate Vice President, Investor Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Offer guidance and direction to the REIT and 1031 Program transfer agents.

• Ensure accurate record keeping for all new accounts, purchases, redemptions, transfers, distributions, and maintenance.

• Perform daily reconciliation of transactions and money settlements.

• Serve as a liaison with our distribution partners to onboard new clearing firms and broker-dealers.

• Collaborate with investors, financial professionals, internal and external wholesalers, and firm back offices to address service needs.

• Assist the transfer agent with daily inquiries regarding project initiatives and servicing.

• Identify and implement improvements in procedures and processes for our servicing business.

• Coordinate investor mailings and outputs with various vendors.

• Audit and approve annual tax forms and monthly/quarterly investor statements.

• Oversee and approve payments of Dealer-Manager fees, Distribution fees, and all selling commissions.

• Review and approve fees and commission payments for the 1031 Program.

• Manage the offering document process with the 1031 Program transfer agent.

• Act as a liaison between the transfer agent and wholesaling teams on service-related issues.

• Request and supply various reports required by executive management, accounting, and distribution partners.

• Follow up on customer requests and tasks assigned to our transfer agent for completion.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related financial field.

• 4-7 years of full-time experience in a similar position.

• Prior work experience in the financial services operations sector is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers, business partners, and vendors.

• Flexibility in handling tasks and responsibilities along with strong organizational and planning abilities.

• Keen attention to detail and the capacity to maintain a high level of accuracy in work.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

• Strong problem-solving skills and independence.
