This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct brief, evidence-based virtual counseling sessions, either individually or in groups, for patients experiencing low to moderate acuity acute mental health conditions.
• Create, oversee, and document detailed treatment plans.
• Utilize the DSM to identify symptoms, formulate diagnoses, and devise therapeutic or treatment plans.
• Apply clinical judgment and uphold the behavioral health service line in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally, especially during case formulation and presentations.
• Explain TRICARE requirements and benefits to designated patients.
• Prepare and maintain convenience files along with outpatient and inpatient medical record documentation.
• Draft case summaries and correspondence utilizing the approved electronic medical record system.
• Recommend hospitalization or assess the fitness for duty of service members.
• Evaluate and complete Active Duty Profiles, MEB evaluations, Military Occupation/Mental Status Evaluations, command consultations, and other administrative tasks for the Air Force, Army, and Navy.
• Participate in staff meetings focused on case discussions, continuing education, quality improvement, and safety.
• Update patient charts and information within 72 business hours following appointments, or by the close of business for high-visibility or higher-acuity patients.
• Adhere to SOP duty limitations and conduct weapons access assessments.
• Engage in multidisciplinary safety and notification processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A Master's degree (or higher) in social work from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
• A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience as a Clinical Social Worker, utilizing virtual platforms for bio-psychosocial evaluations, developing behavioral health treatment plans, administering Active-Duty Profiles, conducting Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) evaluations, making fitness for duty assessments, and providing psychotherapy.
• Candidates with less than two years of experience on virtual platforms may still be considered.
• A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to independently practice Clinical Social Work, granted by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
• Must meet credentialing requirements and secure and maintain relevant clinical privileges.
• Must obtain and keep current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross.
• Availability to work a 9-hour shift, from 0730 to 1630 Central Europe Time (CET) (UTC+2), Monday through Friday.
