Liability Claims Examiner – General Liability, Auto BI, Litigation Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Evaluate General Liability, Auto BI, and Premises claims for clients to ascertain entitled benefits.

• Maintain ongoing claim adjudication in line with service expectations, industry best practices, and client service standards.

• Manage claims through actionable plans to ensure timely and appropriate resolutions.

• Conduct investigations into claims and collect information to assess exposure.

• Negotiate settlements within the specified authority limits.

• Update claimants and clients on claim activities and processing.

• Report claims to excess carriers as required.

• Address requests for guidance in a professional and timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the business line is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of claims management experience or a suitable combination of education and experience is required.

• Familiarity with NY labor law is essential.

• Experience in tender processes is necessary.

• General Liability expertise is required.

• Knowledge of nationwide jurisdiction is important.

• NY home-state licensing is preferred.

• Capability to investigate claims and assess exposure.

• Proficiency in negotiating settlements within the assigned authority.

• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

• Excellent judgment, problem-solving abilities, and discretion.

• Capacity to manage work-related stress and multiple priorities concurrently.

• Ability to meet deadlines effectively.

• Competence in computer keyboarding; hearing, vision, and verbal communication capabilities are required.
