Liability Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Evaluate mid- and higher-level general liability claims to ascertain applicable benefits

• Ensure the continuous adjudication of claims aligns with company standards and industry best practices

• Identify potential subrogation on claims and engage in settlement negotiations

• Oversee mid-level general liability claims by collecting information to assess liability exposure

• Evaluate liability and resolve claims based on assessments

• Authorize and process assigned claims

• Manage action plans in accordance with the claim or client contract

• Foster and maintain professional relationships with clients

• May handle complex claims, including medical claims that involve state and physician filings

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma is preferred

• Four (4) years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required

• Possess expertise in relevant insurance principles and laws for the line of business managed

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills

• Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications

• Strong analytical and interpretive capabilities

• Excellent organizational skills

• Good interpersonal abilities

• Outstanding negotiation skills

• Capacity to thrive in a team-oriented environment
