Liability Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Utilizes independent judgment and discretion in managing claims that involve intricate liability matters, including coverage concerns and minor injury claims.

• Conducts thorough investigations, assesses situations, and provides recommendations regarding coverage and liability.

• Establishes and maintains reserves.

• Gathers necessary documentation to determine the value of claims and negotiates settlements or denies claims.

• Maintains detailed documentation of files and submits final reports.

• Recognizes subrogation opportunities and takes appropriate actions.

• Engages in negotiations with all parties or their representatives within the established authority.

• Completes all mandatory training.

• Provides training and mentorship to others.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or its equivalent, along with two years of experience in claims or customer service, ideally in casualty claims, is required.

• Equivalent educational experience will be taken into account.

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Appropriate license(s) as mandated by the relevant state(s) of operation.
