This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Provide crisis phone interventions to LGBTQIA callers reaching out to the suicide hotline.
• Suggest suitable referrals for available support services.
• Respond to all phone inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring agency efficiency and customer satisfaction standards are met.
• Evaluate the clinical situations and needs of the callers.
• Deliver safe and effective clinical interventions.
• Complete comprehensive, clear, and accurate clinical documentation for data collection and reporting to funders.
• Forward internal referrals to the appropriate programs with the necessary information.
• Collaborate with both internal and external clients/customers.
• Monitor call-in times for clients under a 72-Hour Suicide Watch or Safety Follow-Up.
• Extend work hours when crisis situations arise or paperwork remains incomplete.
• Participate in mandatory meetings and training sessions, including those outside of regular working hours.
• Be available for evening and night shifts as needed.
• Assist the hotline clinical coordinator in onboarding new staff members.
• Ensure the hotline area is stocked, clean, and organized.
• Complete required readings and projects that benefit Crisis or other departments as assigned by a supervisor.
• Attend in-person meetings, training, agency activities, and events outside of regular hours upon request.
• Must reside in Arizona.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Proficient in documenting detailed information.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Capacity to stay calm during crises, work both independently and collaboratively, recognize personal limitations, and engage positively and empathetically with individuals of all ages, races, creeds, genders, or sexual orientations.
• Uphold professional conduct in line with ethical practices and agency policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while working remotely and foster positive relationships with internal and external team members, stakeholders, and community/business partners.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in the behavioral health sector.
• Crisis intervention experience is preferred.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Program development experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
