This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Create original multiple-choice questions that assess substantive legal reasoning.
• Design intricate legal scenarios within relevant areas of expertise.
• Review and verify pre-existing legal questions for precision, clarity, rigor, and completeness.
• Edit questions and answer options, documenting any substantial modifications.
• Develop comprehensive reference solutions and clarify why alternative responses are incorrect.
• Utilize statutory interpretation, case law analysis, regulatory reasoning, and principles of jurisprudence.
• Create or assess materials related to corporate, finance, competition, technology, privacy, intellectual property, healthcare, life sciences, environmental, energy, ESG, and climate-related laws.
• Provide authoritative legal or academic references for the questions posed.
• Evaluate question difficulty and uphold benchmark quality standards.
• Contribute to high-quality evaluation resources for advanced AI functionalities.
• JD, LLM, SJD, or equivalent doctoral-level credentials in Law or a closely related field.
• Candidates with a Master's degree may be considered if they demonstrate exceptional expertise in a relevant legal subdomain.
• Strong grasp of legal reasoning, statutory interpretation, and jurisprudential analysis.
• Proficiency in one or more pertinent legal domains, such as Intellectual Property, Privacy, Technology Law, Regulatory Affairs, Securities, Capital Markets, Financial Regulation, Private Equity, M&A, Antitrust, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Environmental Law, Energy Law, or ESG.
• Outstanding written English skills and the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and accurately.
• Experience in legal academic research or publications is highly regarded.
• Background in bar examination writing, legal assessment creation, or judicial clerkships is beneficial.
• Strong focus on legal accuracy, ambiguity, citation quality, and analytical rigor.
• Availability of at least 10 hours per week.
• All work must be conducted without utilizing any confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or third party.
• H-1B and STEM OPT support is not available for this position.
• Flexible scheduling tailored to project requirements.
• Fully remote and asynchronous work environment.
• Part-time independent contractor position.
• Expected availability of a minimum of 10 hours per week.
• Project durations may be adjusted based on needs and performance.
