• Provide guidance and assist in negotiating contract terms in alignment with business needs and risk assessments.
• Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to create and execute strategies for mitigating legal risks.
• Carry out research and review newly established federal acquisition regulations.
• Support regulatory and compliance initiatives.
• Engage in project management tasks, which include: tracking deliverables.
• Generating status reports.
• Ensuring the successful attainment of project objectives.
• Create internal reference materials that detail essential requirements of major compliance frameworks pertinent to the business.
• Currently a student in a law degree program.
• Must have completed at least one year of full-time law school or an equivalent program before starting the internship.
• U.S. citizenship is required (this role may necessitate access to tools or systems exclusive to U.S. citizens).
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate, show flexibility, innovate, and take initiative.
• Strong interest in the legal field with substantial knowledge of legal matters.
• Some prior experience in a legal department or law firm is preferred.
• A solid understanding of our background in business or aerospace is essential.
