This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.
• Evaluate legal documents to pinpoint key issues and assess precedential connections between cases and statutes.
• Implement approved historical and treatment letters and phrases in line with Legal Editing Guidelines.
• Compare history and treatment lettering with source materials to confirm the accuracy of legal issues and outcomes.
• Detect gaps, inconsistencies, or misinterpretations in output and make necessary corrections.
• Ensure the precision, completeness, and consistency of all editorial work.
• Achieve production targets and deadlines while upholding high-quality standards.
• Confirm history chains and treatment relationships utilizing designated tools and workflows.
• Address complex editorial and legal analysis inquiries.
• Recognize ambiguities in guidelines or opportunities for workflow enhancements and communicate them through appropriate channels.
• Execute additional editorial or administrative duties as assigned.
• JD, LLB, or LLM degree.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing capabilities.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply legal precedents and editorial guidelines.
• Capacity to work independently while exercising sound judgment and escalating issues when necessary.
• Excellent reading comprehension and issue-spotting abilities.
• Skill in managing multiple priorities and meeting critical deadlines.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing workflows, including those that are AI-assisted.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a remote or distributed team environment.
