Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Storyblok’s dynamic legal team and play a crucial role in our daily operations within the AMER region.

• Take the lead in SaaS sales contract negotiations—drafting, redlining, and finalizing enterprise agreements.

• Provide guidance on U.S. corporate, privacy, employment, and labor law, while supporting product and cybersecurity compliance efforts.

• Independently manage legal projects, guide business teams, and work alongside external counsel when necessary.

• Assist with legal initiatives in EMEA and APAC, contributing to global policies and harmonizing legal processes across regions.

• Deliver legal training and empower team members to handle daily legal responsibilities.

• Aid legal leadership in executing strategic priorities and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Engage in extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Partners, Product, and People.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• Over 3 years of experience primarily focused on drafting, redlining, and negotiating sales contracts, with a strong preference for SaaS or fast-paced tech experience providing in-house support to enterprise sales teams.

• Previous negotiation experience involving complex corporate agreements.

• Strong grasp of commercial contracting, with extensive expertise in sales contracts and legal processes.

• Comprehensive and specialized knowledge of the AMER legal framework, along with some familiarity with EMEA and APAC topics being preferred.
