Legal Consultant – Anti Trust and Competition

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Performing antitrust due diligence by reviewing transaction documents in virtual data rooms (VDRs) and collaborating with both international and local legal counsel regarding transaction structures across applicable jurisdictions.

• Drafting, reviewing, and providing counsel on antitrust matters related to Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs), term sheets, and key issues lists for significant corporate transactions.

• Evaluating pre-merger and post-closing filing obligations, associated risks, and timelines in conjunction with local counsel.

• Delivering antitrust support for corporate transactions and various special projects as required.

• Developing responses and legal arguments for inquiries and investigations from competition authorities throughout the region.

• Investigating regional competition issues, examining market practices, and crafting legal positions and recommendations regarding commercial policies such as exclusivity and incentive programs.

• Evaluating legal risks related to commercial initiatives as they arise and offering guidance to pertinent stakeholders.

• Reviewing, refining, and updating regulatory documentation, risk factor disclosures, and communication strategies for executive committee memos, as well as preparing for and participating in executive committee meetings.

• Coordinating and harmonizing legal strategies with external law firms to ensure uniform approaches across different jurisdictions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in antitrust and competition law.

• A robust background in antitrust and competition law, encompassing merger control, regulatory investigations, and commercial advisory.

• Ability to function as the primary in-house antitrust specialist, with support from external counsel.

• Experience with competition regimes in Southeast Asia is a plus.

• Background in Tech, FinTech, or Logistics is advantageous.
