This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nicaragua.
• Assist in daily operations by overseeing medical records, coordinating with external providers, and managing routine legal correspondence.
• Operate autonomously while upholding high standards of reliability during U.S. business hours.
• Act as the initial hire with the potential to lead future team growth.
• Request and obtain medical documents and records, including conducting follow-ups with medical offices and providers.
• Utilize case management software and legal tools to support workers’ compensation cases.
• Keep healthcare documentation organized and accurate for legal matters.
• Support workflows of a U.S.-based law firm and adapt to specific firm processes.
• Maintain high levels of reliability and attention to detail in all administrative duties.
• Promptly escalate issues and collaborate with team members to address challenges.
• At least 1–2 years of previous experience as a legal assistant; experience in workers’ compensation is strongly preferred (essential).
• Practical experience with retrieving medical records and managing documentation tracking workflows.
• Proficient in case management software and legal documentation tools.
• Completion of some college coursework or equivalent professional certification in legal or healthcare administration is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to draft professional correspondence.
• Experience working with medical offices, healthcare providers, and legal documentation systems.
• Proven ability to handle multiple case files simultaneously with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Background in healthcare, medical facilities, or workers’ compensation legal settings is preferred.
• Capable of independently requesting, tracking, and following up on medical and legal documentation.
