This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• A Legal Assistant at LOGS delivers outstanding support to the financial institutions we serve in a diverse range of creditor rights matters.
• This role necessitates following and implementing guidance from various internal and external stakeholders.
• A Legal Assistant will generate work products that meet both the quantity and quality expectations for their assigned tasks, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
• The Legal Assistant adds value to the operations team by diligently completing all responsibilities thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• This position also guarantees compliance with laws, regulations, client requirements, court rules, and best practices, collectively striving to provide high-quality legal services to our clients.
• Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Updating internal Firm systems and external client platforms within the required timeframes.
• Sorting, scanning, categorizing, labeling, digitally filing, and systematically organizing legal documents.
• Completing assigned work queue items within designated timeframes.
• Grasping and retaining fundamental legal concepts and terminology that influence the ability to produce accurate work products.
• Assisting in the preparation of necessary items for court appearances.
• Reviewing incoming documents and distributing them to the appropriate parties.
• Communicating professionally across various platforms: phone, email, and internal/external messaging systems in a timely manner.
• Completing all assigned training in the Firm Learning Management System (LMS) promptly.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in a data entry or legal assistant position.
• Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
• Familiarity with a technology-driven workplace.
• Proficiency in accurate data entry.
• Strong capability to follow basic instructions, job aids, and procedures.
• Ability to comply with Firm policies and apply policy requirements while processing assigned work.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively as required.
• Commitment to providing exceptional, responsive, and timely service.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and technologically adept.
