Legal AI Research Contributor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop realistic Excel tasks that reflect professional legal work.

• Enhance existing models, repair broken models, and create new models based on a brief.

• Execute each task to provide a clear and accurate answer.

• Establish precise yes-or-no grading criteria.

• Generate an original task and submit the brief along with the necessary input workbooks during onboarding.

• Ensure that input workbooks are created by humans and contain sanitized real data or publicly sourced data.

• Evaluate tasks against the latest AI models.

• Draft a comprehensive yes-or-no rubric for instances when AI models produce errors.

• Collaborate with a reviewer who approves the completed task.

• Create evaluation and training environments for AI systems that are involved in daily workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in legal practice, including restructuring/insolvency, litigation support, or legal operations, covering disputes, insolvency, commercial, or corporate matters.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Excel, including claims registers, damages calculations, data cleaning, multi-criteria lookups, and error tracing.

• Excellent written communication skills in English.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Eagerness to learn about AI concepts and evaluations.

• Requirement to create an original task from personal work during the onboarding process.

• Must submit human-created input workbooks that include sanitized real data or public data with the source identified.

• No AI usage permitted when drafting the brief and creating input workbooks.

• Must provide a CV and participate in a 30-minute group walkthrough call.

• Availability to start immediately is essential.

• Must function as an independent contractor.
