Lecturer in IT Administration and Cybersecurity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Conduct daily online classes in the morning, including e-lectures and live demonstrations.

• Assist participants during self-study sessions, practical assignments, intensive group activities, and office hours.

• Create practical learning materials in partnership with the Product Team.

• Ensure and enhance the quality of course content and instructional delivery.

• Revise course materials and self-study assignments as needed.

• Aid participants in successfully finishing the module.

• Organize and evaluate assignment submissions and generate reports.

• Initiate programs to assist participants facing academic challenges.

• Work alongside the Student Success Team.

• Share expertise and experiences with colleagues to enhance teaching methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an IT specialist, a degree in computer science, or an equivalent qualification.

• Minimum of five years of practical experience.

• Prior teaching experience.

• Strong understanding of networking technologies, including the OSI model, routing, and VLANs.

• Knowledge of system administration, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux.

• Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V.

• Solid understanding of network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.

• Experience with scripting in PowerShell and Bash.

• Familiarity with Blue Team and Red Team concepts.

• Practical experience with security tools and platforms like Snort, Suricata, or Wazuh.

• Understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, MITRE ATT&CK, and the OWASP Top 10.

• Independent, organized, and analytical work approach.

• Fluent in German with a minimum proficiency of C1 level.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Passion for online instruction, e-learning, and web-based educational programs.
