This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and design facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, exercises, coaching guides, blended learning solutions, and e-learning modules.
• Create knowledge resources tailored for front-line staff.
• Assess, evaluate, enhance, and innovate both existing and new training programs and materials.
• Facilitate training sessions in both classroom and virtual formats, covering onboarding and ongoing development as well as refresher training.
• Design and implement client-facing training curricula along with schedules.
• Oversee the onboarding process for employees and contingent workers.
• Develop and deliver standardized training on systems and processes through classroom and virtual methods.
• Travel to various UBC locations and/or client-hosted sites as required.
• Consult with program participants and management to assess the impact of training.
• Review quality and performance records to pinpoint retraining opportunities.
• Address training requests from leadership and quality teams.
• Maintain and refresh training programs and materials in response to system and process updates.
• Deliver tailored program training and manage practical exercises.
• Document and keep training records and documentation archives updated.
• Research, author, publish, and maintain documentation related to processes using authoring tools.
• Collaborate with departments, business owners, and subject matter experts to document procedures and convert business needs into user instructions.
• Help improve the documentation flow and storage systems while contributing to revisions of training-related SOPs.
• Work collaboratively and cross-train with the Learning team.
• Establish partnerships with internal and external clients through needs assessments and proactive performance analyses.
• Create and facilitate learning content, including facilitator guides, workbooks, worksheets, job aids, exercises, coaching guides, blended learning modules, and e-learning modules.
• Collaborate with internal clients and IT on system builds, needs assessments, UAT testing, and interactive learning solutions.
• Support strategic initiatives from a learning perspective across business units.
• Manage cross-functional processes to ensure timely delivery of effective training programs and sessions.
• Assist projects with business partners, directors, and managers.
• Stay updated on developments in training and instructional design, recommending necessary curriculum modifications.
• Address complex problems and provide solutions for challenging technical issues related to projects.
• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of essential tools and learning requirements.
• Participate in both in-person and virtual meetings and events.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, training, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree.
• Experience in an operations or business environment.
• Certification in facilitation, adult learning, or project management is preferred.
• Ability to inspire employees and provide thought leadership.
• Capability to meet multiple deadlines and manage a heavy workload effectively.
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
• High focus on patient and client satisfaction.
• Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proven capability to develop supporting documentation.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and techniques.
• Outstanding internal and external customer service skills.
• Preferred experience with e-learning authoring tools, HTML, and knowledge management tools.
• Preferred experience in conducting needs analysis and understanding operational application functionality.
• Ability to create customized strategies and tactics for effective training delivery.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Ability to engage actively in both in-person and virtual meetings and events.
• Knowledge and experience with tools such as ADDIE and SAM methodologies, Storyline, Articulate, Captivate, Photoshop, video production, SharePoint/web development, PowerPoint, WebEx, Visio, technical writing, HTML/CSS, LMS administration, eQMS, SumTotal, SurveyMonkey, Excel pivot tables and charts, and evaluation-data analysis.
