Learning for Action Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Assist in all facets of student learning, including aiding fellows in comprehending materials and offering feedback on their assignments.

• Address all inquiries and maintain an active presence within the fellows' workspace.

• Promote community-building across cohorts and lead discussion-oriented lab groups.

• Collaborate and share insights with fellow instructors.

• Monitor fellows' progress closely and tailor support based on analytics and individual knowledge.

• Conduct one-on-one meetings with fellows during office hours.

• Organize supplementary events such as group discussions.

• Recommend enhancements and updates to course materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience and skills in online facilitation.

• A master’s level degree in an interdisciplinary climate/environment program; Ph.D. students and graduates are highly encouraged to apply.

• Equivalent knowledge or work experience may be accepted in lieu of formal degree qualifications.

• Familiarity with climate finance, corporate sustainability, and/or nature-based solutions.

• A demonstrated strong interest, skills, or passion for climate-related activism, technology and innovation, applied science, energy, finance, risk, adaptation, land management, and corporate climate action.

• Teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• High comfort level with the quantitative aspects of basic climate modeling, statistics, and energy analysis.

• A genuine capacity to be accepting, caring, and supportive towards all learners.
