This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Create and enhance learning experiences across products by developing engaging study materials, practice activities, and assessments.
• Utilize principles of learning science and instructional methodologies to improve educational outcomes.
• Collaborate with Content Managers and the In-House Subject Matter Experts to transform content into clear, cohesive instructional materials that cater to diverse learners and varying levels of readiness.
• Design and manage learning design templates, patterns, and guidelines to ensure internal teams and vendors consistently produce high-quality learning experiences.
• Review ongoing content and offer clear, actionable feedback aimed at enhancing instructional clarity, quality, and engagement.
• Partner during project planning to suggest revision strategies, new content development methods, digital and media strategies, and assessment plans that align with product objectives and constraints.
• Leverage research, learner insights, and available performance data to identify learning obstacles and recommend practical enhancements.
• Support pilot programs and iteration cycles by establishing quality expectations and assessing whether learning experiences meet those standards.
• Ensure that learning experiences are designed with accessibility and inclusivity in mind.
• Foster strong collaborative relationships across teams and contribute to a culture of continuous learning, iteration, and improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in creating learning experiences for adult learners, particularly in digital learning, curriculum development, or workforce education.
• Established ability to implement concepts from educational psychology and curriculum development (such as retrieval practice, spacing, cognitive load management, feedback, transfer, and motivation) in practical applications.
• Experience in designing learning activities and assessments that cultivate skills and support performance objectives.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, including the capacity to simplify complex content into accessible, learnable instruction.
• Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing constructive feedback to enhance work quality.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, with a keen attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
• Knowledge of usability principles and inclusive design, including considerations for clear language and user-friendliness.
• Proficient in common workplace tools (Microsoft 365/Google Workspace) and adaptable to new platforms and workflows.
