This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Contribute to the development of systems that facilitate the creation, data connection, and secure deployment of AI agents throughout the organization.
• Design the foundational infrastructure and frameworks that empower teams across Dave to establish and rely on AI-powered workflows.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering to leverage a trusted data platform, creating a scalable AI Agent Factory for the business.
• Define the operational standards for AI at Dave, allowing teams to accelerate their work with enhanced information.
• Build and manage end-to-end systems, with a strong emphasis on execution and reliability.
• Over 6 years of experience in data engineering, machine learning engineering, AI infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Practical experience in developing LLM-driven applications, agents, or tool-use systems in a production environment.
• Proven ability to connect LLMs to structured data securely and reliably (including APIs, data access layers, context delivery, and governance).
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles, encompassing testing, monitoring, and production reliability.
• Familiarity with contemporary data and machine learning tools (such as Python, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Kafka, Kubernetes, or similar technologies).
• Experience managing production systems, including CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response protocols.
• Experience in designing evaluation frameworks for AI systems (Bonus).
• Knowledge of semantic layer tools (like dbt metrics layer, LookML) (Bonus).
• Background in fintech or other regulated sectors (Bonus).
• Experience in developing internal platforms or developer tools utilized across multiple teams (Bonus).
• Awareness of data lineage, auditing systems, or compliance automation (Bonus).
