Lead Wind Hub Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Hub Manager to fulfill contractual responsibilities according to customer specifications and activities.

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, or part replacements to resolve malfunctions.

• Diagnose intricate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable pitch and variable speed turbines.

• Assist in various aspects of site operations as directed by the manager with minimal oversight.

• Perform diagnostic electrical analyses as needed.

• Record all completed tasks using computer-based service reporting systems.

• Coordinate with and respond to GE’s remote operations center when required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Successful completion of a Technical Knowledge Assessment.

• Internal candidates must have 2+ years of experience as a Wind Technician, while external candidates should possess 4+ years of electrical and leadership experience.

• A valid driver's license must be obtained and maintained.

• Ability to handle a repetitive weight of approximately 50 lbs and climb towers up to 300 feet on a daily basis.

• Must adhere to specified manufacturer weight limits, not exceeding 300 lbs including necessary gear.

• Proficient understanding of electrical schematic diagrams, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.

• Capable and willing to work in a variety of environments, including industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities.

• Willingness to work rotating shift schedules and be on-call as needed by the site.

• Experience in customer service with strong communication skills.
