This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Identify & Frame Value: Evaluate the client's strategic goals and align comprehensive energy operations (such as exploration and production, refining, or grid distribution) with AI-enhanced improvement opportunities.
• Target High-Impact Areas: Design solutions that integrate data throughout the value chain, emphasizing essential energy operations like predictive maintenance processes, supply chain enhancements, outage reporting automation, and asset performance visualizations.
• Build the Business Case: Develop compelling, data-supported business cases by converting operational and cost data into scored, visually prioritized use cases that include investment assessments and anticipated ROI.
• Win Expansion: Create demonstrations, develop impactful value narratives and ROI frameworks, and present directly to C-level executives in major energy companies to cultivate significant opportunity pipelines.
• Assess Value: Engage in customer-facing value discovery and execute proof-of-value projects for leading global energy and utility companies.
• Drive Engagement Success: Steer the value workstream by designing and implementing AI-driven feedback agents capable of processing over 10,000 operational data points to identify recurring themes and issues in the field or at the plant.
• Orchestrate Improvement: Advise customers on utilizing AI and automation to streamline complex operational processes, from field service management to grid modernization.
• Solve Systemic Challenges: Lead process redesigns by analyzing current-state bottlenecks, incorporating strict HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) and regulatory compliance standards, and automating the complete workflow.
• Facilitate Workshops: Conduct workshops with C-suite executives and plant/department leaders, scoring capabilities across multiple dimensions and comparing against industry benchmarks.
• Initiate Change: Carry out customer discovery, establish success metrics and KPIs, and oversee successful pilot programs to onboard thousands of users across corporate and field locations.
• Present Results: Deliver executive-ready business cases that transition engagements into new revenue streams.
• Scale Value: Create client-facing tools that empower enterprise-wide teams to evaluate automation prospects across diverse regional assets. Mentor & Enable: Serve as a senior resource for the team, utilizing founder-level experience to devise scalable operational processes and develop performance dashboards to monitor financial and operational KPIs (such as asset uptime and yield optimization).
• Deep Industry Experience: 10 years in the Energy sector (Oil & Gas, Power generation, or Utilities). Experience in Management Consulting (Strategy & Operations Transformation) is essential.
• Domain Expertise: You have in-depth knowledge of asset lifecycle management, upstream/downstream operations, grid modernization, and the overall energy value chain.
• Growth Mindset: Proven success in managing the complete customer lifecycle, with a demonstrated ability to secure new accounts, expand presence through strategic upselling, and deliver long-term value to ensure high NRR, organic advocacy, and sustained SaaS growth.
• Value Realization Skills: You have a record of identifying operational inefficiencies and successfully resolving them. You comprehend how to influence the P&L and manage Capex/Opex through process enhancements, AI integration, and scalable technology implementation.
• Technical Fluency: Solid understanding of Business Software/SaaS applications and Enterprise Asset Management systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, IBM Maximo, AVEVA, GE Digital APM), along with experience in data visualization, SQL, Python, or deploying LLMs/AI models is highly advantageous.
• Stakeholder Management: Experience engaging with and presenting to senior stakeholders. You can navigate complex organizational structures and effectively communicate SaaS value and intricate AI concepts to non-technical audiences, from the boardroom to the control room.
• Builder Mentality: You are adept at working with uncertainty, adjusting to a swiftly changing AI landscape, and establishing your own direction within an account team to achieve optimal results.
• Degree: B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical), Energy Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Industrial & Operations Engineering. Additional certifications in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Data Analytics are highly preferred.
