This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Design, program, configure, test, and commission Control4 automation systems including lighting, AV, shades, and integration with third-party devices.
• Maintain and hold a valid Lutron RadioRA2/RA2 Select (or RadioRA) certification while executing programming and configuration of Lutron lighting and shade control systems.
• Collaborate with clients, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders to define system functionality, network/AV/automation requirements, and deliverables.
• Diagnose and resolve complex challenges related to automation, AV, shading, lighting control, and networking environments.
• Generate system documentation, configuration backups, job-site checklists, and handover materials.
• Mentor and support junior technicians and field installers; provide technical leadership both on-site and remotely.
• Engage in site setup, rack buildouts, low-voltage terminations, and final system acceptance with clients as needed.
• Ensure remote access, monitoring, and service protocols are maintained for deployed systems; proactively support client systems for optimal reliability and serviceability.
• Keep current with smart home industry trends, new integrations, and automation best practices.
• Comply with company policies regarding safety, professionalism, and client satisfaction.
• At least 3 years of practical programming experience with Control4 systems focusing on automation, lighting/shade/AV integration.
• Current Lutron Radiora3 certification.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (IP networks, switches, routing, VLANs, remote access, VPN) as they relate to smart home and automation systems.
• Strong background in AV/lighting/shading/integration, whether in residential or commercial settings.
• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities encompassing hardware, software, networking, and automation logic.
• Excellent communication skills with clients, capable of explaining technical details and providing client training.
• Self-driven, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Valid driver's license and readiness to travel to job sites as required.
