
Lead Technical Support Engineer – Power Conversion and Storage Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for customers across North America.
• Develop enduring partnerships with customer engineering and operations teams.
• Facilitate technical discussions for problem resolution and technical solutions in response to RFIs/RFQs.
• Represent GE Vernova's technical expertise and product value proposition.
• Sustain ongoing customer relationships following system commissioning.
• Guide root cause analysis and troubleshooting for field issues related to power conversion systems, inverters, and BESS.
• Monitor system performance and pinpoint opportunities for enhancing reliability, availability, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with service teams to address post-commissioning technical challenges.
• Handle technical deviations and oversee fault reports until resolution.
• Offer technical support to site engineers both remotely and on-site.
• Conduct technical reviews and site inspections.
• Document field observations, solutions, and lessons learned.
• Relay customer requirements and feedback to internal teams.
• Work in conjunction with Systems Engineering, Design Engineering, Product Management, Project Management, and Leadership.
• Generate post-commissioning evaluations, root cause analyses, and customer-facing technical specifications.
• Keep records of technical issues, field performance trends, and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Contribute to commissioning procedures, field service protocols, and internal knowledge resources.
• Report technical account status, field issues, and customer health indicators to leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6 years of applicable engineering experience in power systems or related areas.
• Proven leadership in technical customer-facing settings.
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% annually.
• Hands-on experience with industrial inverters, UPS systems, rectifiers, and power electronics in high-availability, mission-critical environments.
• Experience in leading or assisting with the commissioning of complex power conversion and storage systems, including system integration, functional testing, and customer acceptance.
• Background in managing technical customer relationships, conducting design and operational reviews, and representing company technical capabilities externally.
• Familiarity with power monitoring platforms and energy management tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, IEC, and ASHRAE standards is preferred.
• Previous experience in field engineering, application engineering, or technical account management is preferred.
• Experience with GE Vernova or similar power conversion and energy storage product lines is preferred.
• Experience working with large-scale industrial or utility-scale operators is preferred.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
