Lead – Tech Lead Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and develop intricate, scalable system architectures.

• Mentor team members while promoting technical excellence.

• Lead code review sessions and establish best practices in engineering.

• Enhance database performance and create robust data solutions, especially with PostgreSQL and query optimization.

• Architect and sustain messaging systems utilizing Kafka or similar technologies for handling high-volume data streams.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate production challenges.

• Assume responsibility for system reliability and performance.

• Facilitate technical discussions and collaborative problem-solving among cross-functional teams.

• Operate within an AI-driven engineering organization that integrates AI throughout system design, prototyping, refactoring, testing, and code review.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in production environments with Java.

• In-depth knowledge of JVM internals and the Java ecosystem.

• Strong capabilities in system design.

• Proven track record of documenting and implementing complex architectures.

• Advanced understanding of relational database principles.

• Expertise in PostgreSQL and skills in performance tuning.

• Solid grasp of messaging concepts, preferably with experience in the Kafka ecosystem.

• Exceptional skills in troubleshooting.

• Strong comprehension of concurrency principles and security best practices.

• Leadership experience, particularly in team mentoring.

• Upper-intermediate proficiency in English for effective communication with stakeholders.

• Comfort in working within AI-driven engineering environments.

• Strong engineering judgment, along with architectural ownership and accountability.
