This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and manage contemporary architectures (Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Data Fabric) within multicloud settings, developing repeatable reference architectures for clients.

• Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of extensive ecosystems (Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric) in comparison to hybrid/Open Source alternatives (Spark, Doris, Airflow), enhancing cost efficiency and interoperability.

• Create evolutionary frameworks, catalogs, lineage, and business roles (Data Owners/Stewards), preparing data for AI while minimizing bureaucratic overhead.

• Organize structured ecosystems (SAP, ERPs, transactional databases) and unstructured data for seamless integration with LLMs, RAG, and generative AI solutions.

• Lead engineering teams by establishing playbooks, best practices in DataOps/MLOps, engineering pipelines, and fostering a culture of quality.

• Collaborate with directors and C-level executives, translating technical choices into financial impact, reduced cybersecurity risks, and productivity improvements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in technical leadership, consulting, or senior data/AI architecture roles on enterprise-level projects.

• Extensive knowledge of cloud technologies and big data: Databricks (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake), Snowflake, Azure Synapse/Fabric, AWS Redshift/Glue, or GCP BigQuery.

• Familiarity with hybrid/Open Source technologies: Spark, Airflow, OpenMetadata, dbt, and Trino.

• Understanding of governance and enterprise integration tools: Purview, Collibra, Alation, Apache Atlas, with connections to SAP and ServiceNow.

• Fundamentals of AI and MLOps: preparing and exposing data for models, vectorization, embeddings, and RAG.

• Strong strategic communication skills with engineering, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders.

• Official certifications are regarded as valuable differentiators: Databricks Certified Professional, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Data Analytics, or Snowflake Pro.

• Experience within technology consultancies, system integrators, or IT service management (ITSM) is advantageous.

• Experience in developing playbooks and Data Operating Models from the ground up is a plus.
