Lead Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Acts as a key member of the school leadership team.

• Oversees and supervises the daily learning process and/or provides mentorship to teachers in the VA through coaching.

• Offers instructional guidance for teachers’ daily activities during launch.

• Cultivates expert-level understanding of the comprehensive K12 curriculum for designated grade levels.

• Ensures that course content is optimized for mastery of standards.

• Takes responsibility for students' academic progress and attendance.

• Assists teachers with curricular, instructional, and operational challenges.

• Concentrates on ongoing tasks and projects related to managing school operations.

• Aids in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all policies and procedures relating to teaching and learning.

• Contributes to the creation and execution of a data-driven program design.

• Collaborates with colleagues to enhance the student experience.

• Plans, facilitates, and assesses data-driven professional learning activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.

• Three (3) years of successful teaching experience, including experience as a virtual teacher.

• Familiarity with state and charter school laws and regulations.

• Knowledge of State Performance Standards.

• Proven leadership abilities.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational capabilities.

• Ability to establish reciprocity.

• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and capable of learning specific student management systems.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for training, professional development, meetings, etc.

• Must be able to pass the required background check.
