Lead Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical implementation of the prototype initiative

• Manage and coordinate technical tasks across all workstreams

• Offer technical expertise to engineering, software, communications, cybersecurity, and field integration teams

• Act as the principal technical advisor to the Program Manager

• Spearhead system-of-systems integration efforts

• Supervise the integration of sensors, communication systems, software platforms, OT/ICN interfaces, and operational workflows

• Guarantee interoperability among Government, Leidos, and technologies provided by teammates

• Address technical integration challenges and interface conflicts

• Assist in the development and maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

• Identify technical dependencies and critical path tasks

• Aid in milestone planning and operational readiness initiatives

• Direct technical validation processes

• Supervise interoperability testing, integration testing, and operational validation efforts

• Assist with Operational Readiness Reviews (ORRs)

• Support Government demonstrations and technical assessments

• Ensure technical teams stay aligned with program goals and milestone commitments

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree with 12 – 15 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10 – 13 years of relevant experience

• Proven leadership in Systems Engineering on complex DoD projects

• Experience in system-of-systems integration

• Capability to simplify intricate technical issues and lead diverse technical teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Experience in managing multi-vendor interoperability and interfaces

• Background in operational testing and evaluation

• Proficient in communicating with executive leadership (internally or with clients) on critical organizational or project matters

• Proactive approach to problem-solving and a collaborative decision-maker

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and management practices

• Must be a US citizen with a current secret clearance
