• Ensure quality standards for designated suppliers, including the execution of quality plans.
• Identify and select suppliers through a structured qualification process.
• Take ownership of supplier performance, driving enhancements via supplier scorecards.
• Conduct supplier audits to guarantee compliance and initiate improvement plans when necessary.
• Collaborate with Sourcing and Engineering teams to qualify, approve, and nurture supplier relationships.
• Establish and implement product and process qualifications in accordance with Gas Power standards.
• Assess and endorse Manufacturing Process Plans, Product and Process Quality Plans, control plans, and inspection plans for assigned components.
• Oversee and authorize Supplier Deviation Requests, ensuring risk assessment, documentation, and management.
• Evaluate Cost of Poor Quality data, field feedback, and assembly/shop issues to uncover systemic improvement opportunities.
• Perform audits of quality systems, products, and processes at supplier locations; confirm adherence to GE Vernova QMS standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings (GD&T) and specifications.
• Familiarity with complex machining, heat treatment, and various welding techniques.
• Experience in conducting audits, including holistic, quality system, process, and/or product evaluations.
• Proven ability to manage and develop relationships with vendors/suppliers.
• Prior experience in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing/Process Quality roles.
