• Ensure quality management for designated suppliers, including the execution of quality plans.
• Evaluate and select suppliers through a comprehensive qualification process.
• Take ownership of supplier performance, driving enhancements through the use of supplier scorecards.
• Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance and initiate improvement plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with Sourcing and Engineering teams to qualify, approve, and cultivate suppliers in line with sourcing strategies and long-term business objectives.
• Define and implement product and process qualifications according to Gas Power specifications for various intricate components and assemblies.
• Review and endorse Manufacturing Process Plans (MPP), Product and Process Quality Plans (PQP), control plans, and inspection plans for the assigned components.
• Validate first article inspections (FAI) and ongoing product verifications; oversee process capability and instigate corrective measures when performance does not meet established targets.
• Manage and authorize Supplier Deviation Requests (SDRs), ensuring that risk is evaluated, documented, and controlled.
• Perform quality system, product, and process audits at supplier locations; confirm adherence to GE Vernova QMS standards, GE Vernova procedures, and relevant industry regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from a recognized university or college.
• Strong comprehension of engineering drawings (GD&T) and specifications.
• Experience and expertise in complex machining, heat treatment, and various welding techniques.
• Proven experience in conducting audits (holistic, quality system, process, and/or product).
• Demonstrated capability in managing and developing vendors/suppliers.
• Prior experience in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing/Process Quality (preferably with general manufacturing processes, machining, heat treatment, and welding).
• Excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Established ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and global team settings.
