This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• The Lead Statistician collaborates with multi-disciplinary research teams to deliver methodological expertise, leadership, and strategic support throughout all phases of projects.
• Provides mentorship to junior and mid-level staff or independently handles projects necessitating advanced statistical analysis.
• Prepares Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) for projects that require advanced statistical methodologies.
• Offers guidance to junior and mid-level staff concerning methodology and project approaches.
• Oversees the development of proposals for familiar project types.
• PhD in Biostatistics/Statistics or a related field with 4+ years of experience, MSc in Biostatistics/Statistics or a related field with 6+ years of experience, or BSc in Biostatistics/Statistics or a related field with 8+ years of experience.
• Strong foundation in fundamental statistical concepts and methods, along with expertise in techniques such as regression analysis, longitudinal data analysis, parametric and semi-parametric survival analysis, and meta-analysis.
• Practical experience with standard statistical applications in health economics.
• Familiarity with complex statistical methods.
• Proficient statistical programming skills using standard software, including R and/or STATA/SAS.
• Ability to effectively communicate analysis plans and results to clients or colleagues who may have limited statistical background.
