Lead Software Engineer – Ruby on Rails

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

• Establish or contribute to the architectural vision and enhance systems to ensure long-term scalability and performance.

• Identify and adopt tools, frameworks, and methodologies that boost team efficiency.

• Anticipate technical challenges at the product level and make proactive design choices.

• Decompose complex projects into manageable systems for teams to develop with confidence.

• Lead by example through high-quality, hands-on technical contributions.

• Guide engineers on leadership, strategy, and teamwork.

• Work in collaboration with cross-functional partners to tackle technical obstacles.

• Influence and steer technical decisions among teams and stakeholders.

• Remain engaged with company-wide initiatives to foresee and eliminate obstacles.

• Contribute to team planning and offer guidance on project prioritization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience, with a STRONG preference for Ruby on Rails.

• Demonstrated full stack experience with one or more technology stacks.

• Solid foundation in system design, architecture, and scalable software solutions.

• Experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.

• Proficient in identifying customer requirements and providing technical solutions.

• Comfortable with reviewing and enhancing codebases.

• Familiar with agile development methodologies.

• Exceptional collaboration and influence abilities across diverse teams.
