Lead Software Engineer, Foundations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and execution of secure, fault-tolerant, and highly available cloud infrastructure utilizing public cloud services.

• Continuously enhance system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure seamless operation for high-traffic services.

• Drive the advancement of our Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines within a multi-service environment, simplifying processes and boosting resilience.

• Strategically plan and execute timely infrastructure upgrades and modifications through infrastructure-as-code, enabling quicker execution, better scalability, and enhanced cost efficiency.

• Utilize tools such as DataDog, Sentry, and others to oversee system infrastructure, set alerts for anomalies, and proactively maintain system health.

• Establish, promote, and uphold runbooks, operating procedures, and system architecture diagrams. Maintain high-quality standards through thorough testing and code reviews.

• Serve as a force multiplier by offering technical guidance, mentoring fellow engineers, and nurturing a culture of engineering excellence.

• Adopt a flexible and efficient work culture, acting swiftly to seize opportunities while taking on various roles in a startup environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in professional software development.

• Proficient in programming languages such as Go, Python, Typescript, or Ruby.

• Extensive experience in architecting secure solutions on cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).

• Demonstrated experience in automated provisioning using tools like Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.

• Familiarity with automated deployments utilizing container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS ECS, or Docker.

• Solid hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.

• Knowledge of SQL, RDBMS (preferably PostgreSQL), and data warehousing solutions (e.g., ClickHouse).

• Proficient in AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, etc.).
