This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Direct the architecture and technical strategy for build and deployment systems that adhere to FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 standards.
• Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and high-quality build systems.
• Convert security and compliance requirements into access controls, audit logs, secret management, vulnerability response, and evidence collection.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to oversee and sustain build health and precision.
• Partner with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to guarantee the scalability and availability of build systems.
• Anticipate, identify, and address issues while coordinating triage and remediation efforts among product teams.
• Contribute to production code, conduct design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, debugging, and operational enhancements.
• A Bachelor's Degree combined with 8 years of experience in development, build, and release engineering or computer science, or a Master's Degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 3 years of comparable experience.
• Proficient in developing and configuring modular build/deploy systems and source control tools for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Shell, Groovy, Ruby, or Python.
• Experience with using containers in build environments.
• Proficient with AWS, Artifactory, Docker, and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React toolchains and pipelines.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and RSpec pipelines.
• Preferred: experience with FedRAMP, DoD IL4/IL5, FISMA, GovRAMP, or similar regulated settings.
• Preferred: experience in database maintenance and production migrations.
• Preferred: experience with Elastic Stack and Grafana.
• Preferred: experience with automated testing frameworks such as RSpec, Jest, or Cypress.
• Preferred: experience leading technical projects or providing technical guidance across a team.
• Must be a U.S. Person for work in U.S. Government classified environments; certain positions may necessitate U.S. citizenship on U.S. soil.
