Lead Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and execution of comprehensive solutions utilizing ASP.NET Core, React, Azure services, and SQL Server.

• Convert intricate business and technical requirements into scalable and maintainable architectural designs.

• Offer technical guidance on application structure, API design, data modeling, and cloud architecture.

• Develop and sustain advanced client-side experiences using React, TypeScript, Hooks, and state management patterns.

• Design and create RESTful and GraphQL APIs with ASP.NET Core, C#, and Entity Framework Core.

• Architect and deliver cloud-native solutions on Azure (App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, Key Vault, CI/CD pipelines).

• Optimize and maintain SQL Server and Azure SQL databases, focusing on query tuning, indexing strategies, and data access patterns.

• Set and uphold quality standards through code reviews, testing strategies, and CI/CD automation.

• Advocate for the team's adoption of AI-assisted development practices, including code generation, automated testing, and intelligent tooling, while establishing guidelines around quality, security, and responsible use.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, design reviews, and providing technical guidance.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, deliver accurate estimates, identify risks, and proactively communicate progress and obstacles.

• Assess and integrate new technologies, frameworks, and best practices to enhance system reliability and developer productivity.

• Assist in supporting production systems by diagnosing and resolving complex issues as necessary.

• Foster an environment of high morale, motivation, and teamwork.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 5-8+ years of professional software development experience, with significant expertise in C# and modern .NET (.NET Core/6+).

• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining React + TypeScript applications at scale.

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure, including application hosting, serverless workloads, security, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Advanced SQL Server or Azure SQL skills, covering schema design, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting.

• Strong grasp of software architecture patterns, API design, and concepts of distributed systems.

• Familiarity with Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.

• Capability to balance technical excellence with practical delivery in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams.

• Proven ownership, accountability, and ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
