Lead Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage software applications that align with business needs.

• Maintain code quality and structure to deliver significant business value.

• Ensure code quality by implementing unit tests.

• Actively engage in both front-end and back-end tasks, including testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in JavaScript.

• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes (K8S), and Docker for containerized deployments.

• Experience with cloud services including AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and test automation.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.

• Programming experience in multiple languages or the ability to transition easily between them.

• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Angular.

• Proficient in effective branching strategies and version control systems (Git).

• Strong emphasis on security, code quality, and adherence to industry best practices.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture, design patterns, and event-driven architecture.

• Familiarity with algorithms, data structures, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).

• Experience with Agile methodologies for iterative development and continuous improvement.

• Skilled in gathering requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, and producing documentation.

• Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) and functional programming.

• Proficient in unit testing and knowledgeable about best practices.

• Strong understanding of programming best practices, clean code principles, and design patterns.

• Sufficient English language proficiency for effective communication with team members (both verbal and written).
