Lead Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and execution of features across frontend, backend, integrations, and data layers.

• Serve as the technical authority for the team, reviewing code, guiding architectural decisions, and approving modifications.

• Promote enhancements in code quality, security, testing, and release processes.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery speed, minimize technical debt, and improve product development.

• Identify potential risks early, effectively break down tasks, and facilitate predictable sprint delivery.

• Mentor and support developers, enhancing overall team capability and engineering standards.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to convert business requirements into robust technical solutions.

• Take ownership of production systems, ensuring stability, performance, and ongoing enhancement.

• Engage hands-on in development, including refactoring and optimizing existing codebases.

• Aid in reducing support overhead by enhancing system reliability and addressing root causes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a full-stack developer creating modern web applications.

• Proven track record of working on live production systems with real users.

• In-depth knowledge of REST APIs and third-party integrations.

• Strong background in relational databases and transactional systems.

• Experience with cloud-hosted environments and CI/CD pipelines.

• Practical experience with technologies such as C#, .NET, SQL, and Azure.

• Experience in reviewing, refactoring, and enhancing existing codebases.

• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, or similar) in development workflows.

• Previous experience in a technical leadership or senior engineering role with ownership responsibilities.

• Strong decision-making abilities with the capacity to justify and articulate technical choices.

• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Comfortable working remotely with distributed teams and international stakeholders.

• Proactive, accountable, and capable of operating independently.
