Lead Salesforce Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the overall technical architecture and governance of the Salesforce platform, ensuring that all implementations adhere to enterprise-grade standards for scalability, security, and performance.

• Define, document, and enforce global development standards, branching strategies, design patterns, and CI/CD maturity models for the entire Salesforce team.

• Set up platform guardrails to proactively manage governor limits, data storage, and technical debt across all clouds.

• Design end-to-end solutions within Sales and Service Clouds, optimizing intricate automated workflows, large data volumes (LDV), and highly customized Service Console/CTI integrations.

• Guide the architectural direction for Experience Cloud, leveraging Lightning Web Runtime (LWR) to create highly secure, globally performant, and deeply integrated self-service and partner portals.

• Oversee the security architecture for external-facing sites, establishing strict data sharing rules, guest user security policies, and vulnerability mitigation strategies.

• Architect and manage the complete Salesforce Billing and CPQ lifecycle, ensuring seamless, audit-ready data flows across pricing, billing rules, invoice generation, revenue recognition, and financial closing processes.

• Act as the technical owner of the synchronization layer between Salesforce Billing and the General Ledger (Sage Intacct / ERP), ensuring data integrity, reconciliation accuracy, and robust error-recovery frameworks.

• Collaborate directly with Finance, Revenue Operations, and Executive Leadership to translate complex corporate revenue policies into scalable automated platform mechanics.

• Design robust, decoupled integration architectures utilizing MuleSoft, event-driven patterns (Platform Events, Pub/Sub API), and secure REST/SOAP frameworks.

• Define the integration strategy for contract lifecycle management (CLM) and document automation tools (DocuSign, Conga) across the enterprise.

• Serve as the ultimate technical escalation point for the Salesforce engineering team, resolving complex debugging scenarios across integrations and billing processes.

• Actively mentor Senior and Mid-level developers and administrators, fostering a culture of engineering excellence, continuous learning, and architectural thinking.

• Lead technical design reviews and architecture review boards, providing crucial feedback on major initiatives prior to production deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8+ years of dedicated Salesforce development and architecture experience.

• A proven track record of architecting and leading enterprise-scale deployments across Sales, Service, Experience, and Salesforce Billing environments.

• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and informally leading technical teams, driving scalable solutions, and managing significant technical debt remediation.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Expert Development Skills: Mastery of programmatic Salesforce development (Apex, advanced LWC architecture, SOQL/SOSL, asynchronous processing) and a deep understanding of when to utilize declarative versus programmatic solutions.

• Advanced Billing & CPQ: In-depth technical knowledge of Salesforce Billing mechanisms, ledger impacts, payment gateways, and experience in architecting integrations with ERP systems.

• Integration & Event-Driven Architecture: Advanced proficiency with middleware platforms, enterprise integration patterns, OAuth authentication schemes, and streaming APIs.

• DevOps Mastery: Hands-on experience in establishing or managing sophisticated CI/CD pipelines (Copado, Salto, Gearset, or Jenkins) using source-driven development (Git).

• Data & Security Architecture: Expert-level understanding of the Salesforce Sharing Architecture, safeguarding sensitive data, encryption, and managing Large Data Volumes (LDV).

• Certifications (Highly Preferred): Salesforce Certified Application Architect and/or System Architect (Technical Architect track preferred), Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Salesforce Certified B2B Solution Architect, Salesforce Certified Billing Specialist / CPQ Specialist, Salesforce Certified Experience Cloud Consultant.
