This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, design, and oversee independent test and evaluation research programs aimed at safeguarding the public from the risks associated with AI systems.
• Lead and assist in crafting competitive research proposals.
• Act as a principal investigator for AI test and evaluation research initiatives focusing on NLP and LLMs.
• Evaluate experimental outcomes to identify issues and formulate solutions.
• Strategize, design, and implement research challenges utilizing Digital Safety’s evaluation tools.
• PhD in Computer Science with an emphasis on NLP or LLMs, accompanied by 6 or more years of relevant research experience.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in NLP or LLMs, plus 8 or more years of directly related research experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on NLP or LLMs, alongside 12 or more years of relevant research experience.
• In-depth knowledge of AI and software engineering disciplines.
• Proven track record in securing research funding through competitive proposal writing.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Advanced skills in AI, software engineering, and data analysis.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with research scientists, engineers, and external collaborators.
• Collaborative and scientific methodologies with partners and stakeholders.
