
Lead Rental Technician – 1-Year Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Diagnose, inspect, and repair gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, fuel systems, and brake systems.
• Execute safety campaigns and perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on both new and existing equipment.
• Evaluate down tools, order necessary parts, conduct repairs, and keep leadership informed about critical timelines.
• Oversee GPS maintenance and track asset movements between various locations and job sites.
• Ensure accurate driver logs, inspections, and compliance with provincial transportation regulations.
• Provide training and support to rental associates and mobile service technicians regarding Large Equipment procedures and routine maintenance standards.
• Serve as the escalation contact and provide job-site support within a 24-hour timeframe.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with heavy equipment, light industrial machinery, or gas mechanical systems.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and experience in tandem-axle towing.
• Proficient in performing complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostics and repairs.
• Capability to read and interpret repair manuals, schematics, and parts guides.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and diagnostic applications.
