Lead QA Engineer – All UK

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Creating and sustaining automated tests for Services & UI utilizing tools like Selenium.

• Developing automated tests through a BDD framework with tools such as Cucumber.

• Implementing design principles to produce clean, maintainable test code.

• Crafting test solutions using Java and/or Python.

• Collaborating effectively within a CI/CD pipeline environment.

• Contributing to the continuous enhancement of processes, tools, methodologies, and overall product quality.

• Leading a team of mid and senior-level QA engineers.

• Designing and executing QA automation architecture by adhering to best practices to guarantee efficient code quality.

• Collaborating closely with developers, product teams, and BAs to define and create effective test solutions.

• Establishing and implementing test automation processes and best practices.

• Ensuring defects are documented in line with the defect management process using tools like Jira.

• Reporting test automation compliance issues to the test manager.

• Developing and maintaining automated functional and regression tests according to established scripting standards.

• Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the software product development lifecycle and testing processes.

• Experience with API testing frameworks such as REST Assured.

• Proficient in Java and/or Python.

• Experienced in using Cucumber to write test cases in feature files utilizing Gherkin language.

• Familiar with CI tools (Jenkins, GitLab Pipelines) from a testing configuration standpoint.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Adept at managing multiple priorities and staying organized in a dynamic environment.

• Passionate about software test development, with a genuine interest in technology and emerging testing tools and methodologies.
