Lead Provider Operations Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Mentor, coach, and onboard team members to enhance overall team capability and performance.

• Act as a subject matter expert and primary resource for complex or escalated issues.

• Anticipate challenges and suggest proactive solutions.

• Maintain all POC responsibilities for a region encompassing over 12 programs.

• Monitor team performance to ensure compliance with service-level expectations and quarterly metrics.

• Provide coaching and constructive feedback to team members to promote professional growth and accountability.

• Serve as the first escalation point for intricate provider or scheduling issues.

• Oversee the execution of provider onboarding and orientation across various programs and facilities.

• Ensure consistent and standardized communication with providers throughout the team.

• Conduct regular check-ins with providers to evaluate satisfaction, compliance, and operational needs.

• Oversee the creation, distribution, and updates of provider schedules to guarantee 24/7/365 hospital coverage.

• Ensure the accuracy and optimization of the Provider Self-Scheduling Portal and other scheduling systems, including the migration of the cell application.

• Minimize additional compensation due to scheduling gaps or errors and report metrics to leadership.

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Physician Relations, Regional Medical Directors, Program Directors, and Hospital Leadership to ensure seamless coordination.

• Work with internal teams to align provider-facing processes with company policies and objectives.

• Represent the Provider Operations team in cross-departmental meetings and initiatives in the absence of the Director of Physician Relations.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline scheduling, onboarding, and provider engagement processes.

• Identify process gaps and recommend scalable solutions to the Director of Physician Relations.

• Ensure accurate reporting of shift changes for payroll and compliance.

• Maintain up-to-date provider contact information and documentation within the shared database.

• Assist leadership with special projects or additional tasks as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in an operational role with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed work standards and tight deadlines.

• 3+ years of dedicated experience with Rural Physicians Group within Provider Operations.

• Capable of managing moderately complex issues and problems.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Certified in Lean Six Sigma Healthcare Greenbelt.
