This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Spearhead and execute mission-critical, AI-focused programs characterized by substantial technical complexity, cross-portfolio interdependencies, and high organizational visibility, taking ownership of outcomes from planning to execution.
• Create, maintain, and implement integrated program plans that convert AI product and platform strategies into distinct milestones, timelines, and success metrics throughout research, development, deployment, and operationalization.
• Propel execution across multiple interdependent workstreams, ensuring timely delivery, high-quality outcomes, and alignment with business objectives in highly uncertain environments.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate program-level risks and challenges associated with AI development, such as data readiness, model performance, integration difficulties, scalability, compliance, and ethical considerations.
• Act as the primary point of accountability for AI program results, proactively eliminating obstacles and fostering effective cross-team collaboration to manage dependencies.
• Serve as the program management authority for AI initiatives, showcasing fluency in AI/ML lifecycles (including experimentation, model iteration, and production support) while closely collaborating with engineering, data science, product, learning science, security, legal, and operations teams.
• Facilitate discovery and delivery alignment by ensuring that experimentation, validation, and iteration are accurately reflected in program plans and timelines.
• Employ suitable Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery methodologies to AI projects, where experimentation, iteration, and discovery are essential for success.
• Oversee program budgets, resources, and external vendors as necessary to guarantee cost-efficient and reliable delivery of AI projects.
• Clearly and concisely communicate program status, progress, risks, and trade-offs to senior stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making and alignment.
• Influence across organizations without direct authority to unite teams with differing priorities around common AI program goals.
• Mentor and coach Technical/Product Program Managers, contributing to the continuous enhancement of AI program management standards, best practices, tools, and reporting mechanisms throughout the organization.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8–12+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or similar roles, with substantial experience in delivering AI-driven initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with machine learning platforms, data science teams, and AI-centric product organizations.
• Understanding of Responsible AI principles, data privacy requirements, and ethical AI delivery practices.
• Strong technical foundation with a comprehensive understanding of AI/ML concepts, including experimentation, data platforms, model lifecycle considerations, and production readiness.
• Proven success in delivering complex, cross-functional programs in AI-enabled or highly technical environments from inception to launch.
• Extensive experience operating in Agile environments and modifying delivery approaches to accommodate discovery-driven work.
• Outstanding communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the capability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Documented ability to lead by influence in matrixed organizations without direct authority.
• This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
