This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• You will take ownership of one or more product lines, overseeing the evolution of existing products and the launch of new ones, guiding them from problem identification through launch and iterative improvements directly, rather than solely relying on your PMs.
• Develop a multi-phase product strategy for Everyday Money: determining which products to create, identifying the essential features for optimal user experience, selecting target segments, establishing the sequence of development, and assessing how each component contributes to user retention and overall profitability.
• Create a cohesive roadmap that illustrates how these products interconnect and enhance each other, alongside our liquidity products, rather than just listing separate features.
• Lead our AI innovation labs within this domain: steering the team to craft groundbreaking consumer experiences based on agentic AI for everyday financial needs, and transforming those visions into tangible products.
• Make decisions on whether to build, buy, or partner, including collaboration with external partners and financial institutions to swiftly launch new capabilities.
• Act as a coach for the team. Manage, develop, and set high standards for two PMs responsible for their own product lines while remaining actively involved in yours. Enhance the organization as the area matures.
• Oversee the user experience across the area, closely collaborating with design to ensure it integrates into and strengthens the broader Tilt experience, rather than existing in isolation.
• Build the business case in close collaboration with Credit, justifying the need for ongoing investment in this area.
• By day 30: Deliver a comprehensive diagnosis derived from our existing legacy products and market data, assessing current product performance, identifying retention issues, comparing against market standards, and pinpointing genuine opportunities.
• By day 60: Present a detailed, sequenced product thesis and roadmap, with a well-supported rationale for the order of product development, targeted audience, and alignment with senior stakeholders.
• By day 90: Engage directly in execution, with at least one product line under your personal ownership in the development phase, including any partnerships or infrastructure necessary for its launch, while your PMs progress on their respective projects.
• Strong product strategy capabilities. You can articulate a phased approach for an entire product area, prioritize development tasks, and describe how the components reinforce each other to create a greater whole.
• P&L accountability. You have held genuine responsibility for the financial aspects of a product or business line, not just its roadmap, and can link product decisions to profitability outcomes.
• Experience in fintech products. You are knowledgeable about how consumer financial products function, how the marketplace evolves, and where competitive and regulatory challenges arise.
• User-centric mindset. You begin with user needs, ground your roadmap in authentic user insights, and work closely with design to realize these insights, rather than relying solely on data.
• Analytical expertise. You possess a strong command of data, validate your thesis with real evidence, and can transition between quantitative analysis and user narratives without losing either perspective.
• A focus on AI-native products. You are enthusiastic about agentic experiences and have a genuine opinion on how AI transforms consumer products, rather than just where it can be integrated.
• Leadership skills. You have managed PMs, elevated team performance, and can cultivate talent while staying engaged with the product.
• A proactive builder. You have personally developed and launched products, not just overseen others, and seek a position where you can remain actively involved in the work.
• Partnership expertise. You have experience collaborating with external partners or shared infrastructure and can effectively navigate make-or-buy choices with informed trade-off judgment.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ownership. You thrive in an environment with a largely blank canvas and a mandate to create something new within a larger organization.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements in a regulated product landscape.
• Virtual-first teamwork: The Tilt team collaborates across 14 countries, spanning 12 time zones and growing. You will receive a WFH office reimbursement to get you started.
• Competitive pay: We value potential, which is reflected in our competitive compensation packages and generous equity offerings.
• Comprehensive support: Access flexible health plans across all premium levels, along with significant subsidies that meet global standards.
• Visibility is yours: You will have direct exposure to our leadership team — we foster an environment where great ideas move swiftly.
• Paid global onsites: Real connections happen in person: we convene twice a year to reconnect over shared meals or kayaking adventures. (Past locations include Vail, San Diego, and Mexico City, among others.)
• Your impact is recognized: Advancement opportunities arise based on your contributions, not rigid promotion timelines.
